Where to Stay in the Cayman Islands

The Cayman Islands are an overseas territory of the United Kingdom. Grand Cayman and her smaller siblings, Little Cayman and Cayman Brac, are located 150 miles south of Cuba and 180 miles northwest of Jamaica.

Grand Cayman

The stunning natural beauty of Grand Cayman is visible from every part of the Island, and there are options that will fit your family’s lifestyle and budget. Here are several visitor favorites:

The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman is located on Grand Cayman’s famed Seven Mile Beach. The luxury resort offers every amenity you would expect – including beautifully appointed rooms (including suites with up to three bedrooms), two pools, spa, restaurants, tennis and golf.

The Kimpton Seafire opened in 2016 on Seven Mile Beach. Most guest rooms feature Caribbean-facing balconies. Guests enjoy the laid-back vibe, several stunning swimming pools, including one just for kids, and a dedicated concierge service.

The luxurious Caribbean Club offers 37 spacious one-, two- and three-bedroom suites and villas that overlook Seven Mile Beach. The impressive units include fully equipped kitchens, washers and dryers, and free Wi-Fi, and the property features an oceanfront pools and beach cabanas.

The Wyndham Reef Resort, on the East End of Grand Cayman, offers a mix of studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites. All are beachfront, so you are guaranteed cool breezes and a spectacular view of the Caribbean.

Little Cayman

Little Cayman is the smallest of the Cayman Islands and home to about 200 year-round residents. It offers a slower-paced environment of diving, fishing, hiking and relaxation.

Southern Cross Club – Originally founded as a fishing club in 1958, Southern Cross Club is built on a spectacular white sand beach. There are 14 unique beach cottages, all oceanfront, that offer excellent views and all-inclusive packages.

Pirates Point Resort – With 11 bungalow-style rooms and suites on the beach, Pirates Point offers a large freshwater swimming pool, gourmet food, and caters to scuba divers/snorkelers with some economical dive packages.

Cayman Brac

Caymanians simply call it “Brac,” and the 1,800 people who live on this Island, about 89 miles (143km) east of Grand Cayman, are called “Brackers.”

Cayman Brac Beach Resort – This small, casual, recently renovated dive resort provides a beachfront experience featuring a two-story bar, freeform pool, and updated accommodations that caters to divers with a fleet of custom Newton-built dive boats for exploring top wreck, wall, and reef diving.
