Cayman Islands Currency
The rate between the Cayman Islands Dollar and the US Dollar is fixed at KYD $1.00 to USD $1.25 based on an international banking agreement. This means that $5 USD converts to about $4 KYD.
The currency consists of notes in the amounts of $1, $5, $10, $25, $50 and $100, and four coins in the following denominations – 1 cent, 5 cents, 10 cents and 25 cents.

Automatic Teller Machines are the easiest way for visitors to get cash in the Cayman Islands. ATMs are easy to find across Grand Cayman. There is also one on Cayman Brac, but none on Little Cayman.

On the Cayman Islands, Visa, MasterCard, and Cirrus network cards are welcome, and most debit cards are virtually universally accepted. You may also get a cash advance on your credit card at an ATM, provided that you set up the system before leaving home and have a PIN to use.
