Food & Drink Festivals

January in Grand Cayman features Cayman’s largest culinary celebration, the Taste of Cayman Food and Drink Festival. Held in Camana Bay, it brings together restaurants, bars and vendors to celebrate the Island’s delicious food and drinks. There are competitions and awards for Cayman’s Favorite Restaurant as well as the Seven Fathoms Rum Challenge, which decides the Taste of Cayman Mixologist of the Year.

Also in January, head to The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman on Seven Mile Beach for the annual Cayman Cookout, where you can enjoy cooking demonstrations, tastings, tours, dinners and wine pairings from world-renowned celebrity chefs and mixology experts over four fun-filled days.

In late October, Cayman Cocktail Week highlights the cocktail culture of Cayman’s best bartenders, bars and restaurants with an amazing array of cocktail parties, culinary events and tastings throughout the Island. Meet top industry professionals, learn how to make your own gin, or go on a historical cocktail tour.

In early November, experience the history and heritage of the Cayman Islands through traditional food and drinks, music, parades, street dances and competitions at the annual Pirates Week Festival. Festivities begin on Cayman Brac, continue with a “pirate” invasion and capture of the Governor in Hog Sty Bay on Grand Cayman, and end with a parade, BBQ and fireworks on Little Cayman.

If you are looking for something else fun and different, Grand Cayman offers a wealth of food tours that are a great way to enjoy a sampling of local restaurants. Keep your eye out for the Camana Bay Flavour Tour, which features wine tasting and highlights fresh local ingredients from the morning’s market.
