Enjoy a Night on the Town

Here are a few of our favorite Grand Cayman bars and clubs.

Seven Mile Beach

You’ll find a young, hip crowd at the popular O Bar Nightclub in Queen’s Court Plaza on Seven Mile Beach, which features bars on two levels, award-winning mixologists, and laser lights and video jockeys during Friday night “infinity” happy hours. Anchor Bar & Grill in the lobby of the Grand Cayman Marriott Resort is a sophisticated spot known for its “apothecary” inspired cocktails and live music several days a week.

If you’re looking for the freshest draft beer, Fidel Murphy’s Public House in Queen’s Court Plaza is one of Cayman’s oldest and best options. Enjoy karaoke on Friday nights, live music on Saturdays, and a great place for watching Premier League and Champions League football, rugby and cricket matches, and UFC, NHL, MLB and NFL events. They also have excellent pub food.

West Bay

Located on the West Bay coast with panoramic ocean views, Macabuca Oceanside Tiki Bar is a great spot to watch the sunset and enjoy live musical entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights. Try the signature “Macabuca Punch” that is made with five rums topped with ginger ale and dash of passion fruit. For fine dining, try the popular Cracked Conch restaurant (upstairs) or the bar’s grilled beachy fare. You can also go for a night dive right from their dock.

George Town

My Bar at Sunset House in George Town has a traditional bar under a thatched roof cabana and shaded tables on a deck where you can enjoy a beautiful ocean view. Dance the night away at The Wharf, popular for its Tuesday salsa nights (they give free lessons) and Boogie Nights Old School dance party on the last Friday of the month. Bar Crudo, downstairs in Guy Harvey’s, has live music most nights. And the trendy South West Collective features live Latin music on Friday evenings.

Don’t Drink and Drive

Grand Cayman has strict laws, and all bars must close by midnight on Saturday and Sunday nights and by 1:00AM the rest of the week. And stay off the road if you’ve been drinking. The laws in Cayman are strict and strongly enforced. The legal blood-alcohol limit is 0.100% (100mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood). The police often conduct random checks on weekends.

You’ll find plenty of nightlife to entertain you in Grand Cayman. If you want to stock up on beer, wine or liquor, you won’t find a better selection than at Jacques Scott Wines & Spirits. Order online today for free delivery.
