Things to Do Near Morritt’s Resorts

Since 1988, Morritt’s Resorts has offered timeshare vacation experiences at sister properties Morritt’s Grand, Morritt’s Tortuga Club, and The Londoner, and has often earned awards as the best timeshare resort in the Caribbean/Latin America.

There is no shortage of things to do nearby. Spend your days swimming and snorkeling at Barefoot Beach and Collier Public Beach or diving on the Wreck of the Ten Sail, or enjoy one of these popular Grand Cayman attractions.

Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park – This beautiful 65-acre botanic park is paradise if you’re drawn to native flora and fauna. Vibrant, colorful gardens will treat you to all kinds of rare, beautiful flowers, such as the rare Ghost Orchid, the Banana Orchid (Cayman’s national flower) as well as endemic animal species, such as the Cayman Blue Iguana, which is found nowhere else on earth, the West Indian Whistling Duck, and the majestic Cayman Parrot, the national bird of the Cayman Islands.

Mastic Reserve TrailThere are no mountains to climb on Grand Cayman, but you can still walk and enjoy the stunning scenery and local birds and wildlife. The historic Mastic Trail is a lesser-known but worthwhile attraction on the north side of the Island that leads you through mangroves and old-growth forest on a satisfying (and easy) four-mile round-trip hike.

Cayman Crystal Caves – This geologic wonder, situated in a lush tropical forest in North Side, Grand Cayman, took millions of years to form as seawater erosion created caverns filled with stalagmites, stalactites, crystal-like mineral deposits, and a gorgeous interior lake. The Cayman Crystal Caves are rumored to have been a hideout for pirates and three of them are available for daily tours (except Good Friday and Christmas Day).

If you are staying at Morritt’s Resort on Grand Cayman, take advantage of the wide-ranging selection of beer, wines and spirits from Jacques Scott Wines & Spirits in Morritt’s Plaza, or order online for free delivery, and enjoy your day in the spectacular Cayman Islands!
