Whether you live on Grand Cayman or are just visiting, don’t pass up an opportunity to spend some time on spectacular Seven Mile Beach!

Seven miles beach on Grand Cayman

Often voted “The Caribbean’s Best Beach”, Seven Mile Beach is actually only 5.5 miles long, but it’s packed with most of Grand Cayman’s best hotels and condos and some of the best cuisine in the Caribbean.

Jacques Scott Wines & Spirits has recommendations on where to find your favorite beverages, where to stay, where to eat, and how to spend your free time on the beach.

Where to Buy Beverages

Jacques Scott Wines & Spirits is known for our vast selection of popular international name brand and hard-to-find wines, beers and spirits. We have five convenient locations to serve you, including one at Seven Mile Beach in the Galleria Plaza on West Bay Road, but the most convenient way to get everything you need quickly is to order online.

Place your online order before 3:00pm, and we’ll deliver it FOR FREE to your home, office, yacht, villa or resort hotel on the same day (Monday through Saturday). Or, pick up your order in our flagship store on Shedden Road in George Town. If you order before 6:00pm, it will be available for pick-up until the store closes at 7:00pm.

Where to Stay

You’ll find a wide variety of accommodations in and around Seven Mile Beach, ranging from large luxury beachfront resorts, such as the Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman, the Kimpton Seafire Resort & Spa, and the Caribbean Club, to stunning, fully equipped condos and villas, to affordable bed and breakfasts. There are options that will fit every lifestyle and budget.

Where to Eat

Popular fine dining options along Seven Mile Beach include Veranda, LUCA, Agua Restaurant & Lounge, Ave, Edoardo’s, Blue Cilantro, Blue by Eric Ripert, and Abacus. If an Irish pub is more your style, check out Fidel Murphy’s. And if you’re craving excellent brick oven pizza, give Ragazzi or CIMBOCO a try. You’ll find impeccable fresh fish as well as French, Mexican, Italian, Thai, American, Caribbean, and Asian specialties that represent the cultural diversity of the Caymans.

What to Do

All of Seven Mile Beach is considered public property up to the water line, so you can explore many different “Public Access” beaches. The most popular include Governor’s Beach, Public Beach (next to Calico Jack’s beach bar), and Cemetery Beach (with some of the best snorkeling in Grand Cayman).

Fishing is popular throughout the year in the Cayman Islands, and you’ll have a choice of reef and deep sea fishing trips from a variety of private charter services.

With crystal clear waters, flourishing coral reefs and a different dive site for all 365 days of the year and all skill levels, Cayman is known around the world for its phenomenal diving. Experience dramatic wall dives, superb wreck sites, accessible shore options, and even adventurous night dives.

Try kayaking, kite surfing, jet-skiing, parasailing or paddle boarding, or simply while away the day under a Casuarina tree on the glorious white sandy beach with an umbrella drink in your hand!
