Enjoying the Cayman Islands

Beautiful Beaches – Beaches in the Cayman Islands are spectacular and serene. Seven Mile Beach, among the most famous in the Caribbean, features flawless white sand and warm, shimmering turquoise water that makes you want to bask in the sun all day long. But there are dozens of other beaches to explore, including some that offer kayaking, kite surfing, jet-skiing, parasailing and paddle boarding.

Diving and Snorkeling – Discover a whole new world beneath the bright blue waters of beautiful Grand Cayman. The North Wall makes up the edge of the Cayman Trench (or Cayman Trough) that runs from Cuba to Central America; and Northwest Point Drop Off in the West Bay is one of the most colorful dive sites in the entire Caribbean. Another great snorkel or dive is the USS Kittiwake, a 251-foot-long former submarine support ship that was sunk in 2011 to serve as an artificial reef.

Unique Adventures – Visit the Cayman Turtle Farm which is home to over 7,000 Green Sea Turtles, ranging in size from six ounces to 600 pounds each. It is the only facility of its kind in the world. Stingray City and its string of shallow sandbars is another of our most popular attractions. Observe and interact with these “gentle giants,” hold them, feed them with squid treats, and even swim alongside them.

Food & Drink – The Cayman Islands are the culinary capital of the Caribbean. You’ll find delicious fresh fish as well as French, Mexican, Italian, Thai, American, Caribbean, and Asian specialties that represent the cultural diversity of the Islands’ residents. If you’re ready for cocktails and conversation with friends, try the casual Bar Jack at the Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman along Seven Mile Beach, or enjoy one of Grand Cayman’s famous “Mudslides” at The Wreck Bar and Grill at the tip of Rum Point on the tranquil North Side.

Duty Free Shopping – Grand Cayman is rated #1 in the Caribbean for duty free (tax free) shopping, which means you won’t pay taxes on clothing, jewelry, or anything else you’re thinking of buying. Cruise passengers may pre-order duty free beer, wine and spirits from our sister site, Jacques Scott Cruise Duty Free, and purchases will be delivered free of charge to your ship when you arrive in port.

If you’re traveling to the Cayman Islands, visit Jacques Scott Wines & Spirits liquor stores for all of your beverage needs. We’ll also deliver your online order straight to your door anywhere in Grand Cayman!
