Sourced from some of the Gallo family’s more prestigious blocks of Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel, the 2014 Zinfandel is a blend of 93% Zinfandel and 7% Petite Sirah and is a large cuvée of 3,000 cases that offers terrific quality for its price point. It’s a big wine at 14.8% alcohol, dark ruby/purple in color, with notes of plums, briary blue and black fruits.
