Beer Prices
Prices at most stores, bars and restaurants on Grand Cayman are listed in the local currency – the Cayman Islands Dollar (KYD). When paying with US Dollars, add 20% to account for the exchange rate. In other words, KYD $1.00 is equal to USD $1.20. A case of beer priced at KYD $21.99, for example, works out to USD $26.40.
When buying beer, you can save by buying Cayman’s own locally produced beers from Cayman Islands Brewery (CIB). CIB produces several highly regarded main beers and seasonals, including Caybrew, their flagship full-bodied premium pale lager, Caybrew Light, 345 Stout, White Tip Lager, Twisted Citrus, and Mango Tango.
A case (24) of Caybrew bottles at Jacques Scott Wines & Spirits is typically priced at about KYD $1.75 (USD $2.10) per bottle. Expect to pay KYD $1.90 (USD $2.28) per bottle for a case of Caybrew Light, and KYD $1.99 (USD $2.39) for a case of bottled White Tip Lager.

Is Happy Hour calling your name? Grand Cayman has no shortage of great spots that offer great drink deals (and sometimes food and music, too!).
KARoo in Camana Bay, for example, offers Happy Hour Monday to Sunday 3:00pm-7:00pm with 20% off on signature cocktails, wines and beers. Royal Palms Beach Resort on Seven Mile Beach has featured 2-for-1 drink specials. Tukka, on the East Side, offers afternoon food and drink deals Monday through Friday from 3:00-6:00pm, and the earlier you go, the cheaper it is.
Try Eagle Rays Bar & Grill in East End for Happy Hour on weekdays from 4:00pm-6:00pm. Da Fish Shack on the George Town waterfront offers discounted appetizers, drink specials and live music Monday through Friday from 4:00-7:00pm, just to name a few. And The Wharf at the top of Seven Mile Beach has a Happy Hour, 7 days a week from 5:00pm till 7:00pm.
